Iconic 57th Fighter Group Restaurant Hosts Warbird Rides, 1940s Victory Dance

PEACHTREE CITY, GA. (Oct. 24, 2022) – World War II warbirds from the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia fleet will join the festivities Saturday, Oct 29th when the 57th Fighter Group restaurant stages its inaugural Victory Night dinner and dance at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. CAF Airbase Georgia, based in Peachtree City, Ga., plans to send its SBD Dauntless dive bomber, LT-6 Mosquito trainer, and Corsair fighter to help set the 40s mood at the ‘Victory Night at the 57th’ event. 

Airbase Georgia will sell rides from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. aboard its SBD Dauntless and the LT-6, for a memorable aviation experience that will take the passengers back in time in a meticulously restored aircraft. The 57th Fighter Group  entered the Atlanta restaurant scene in 1981 and quickly became a landmark for aviation enthusiasts and diners seeking a unique and nostalgic experience. Victory Night will begin at 7 p.m. and will recreate the classic 40s feel, enhanced by costumed guests and big-band music.
