Help restore Airbase Georgia’s N2S Stearman Kaydet and Republic P-47N Thunderbolt fighter by donating to 12 Planes of Christmas, the Commemorative Air Forces annual online giving campaign.
Airbase Georgia offers a variety of living history flight experiences in our aircraft. Feel the g-forces from the 1,500 horsepower Rolls Royce Merlin engine in our P-51 Mustang “Red Nose”, or transport yourself back to the Battle of Midway in the gunner’s seat of our ultra-rare SBD-5 Dauntless! You will see, hear, and feel what the airmen of the Greatest Generation experienced in the skies over Europe and the Pacific during World War II. Get the adrenaline rush of a lifetime and help us Keep ‘Em Flying!
The Commemorative Air Force has the largest collection of flying warbirds, but our members are our greatest asset. As a CAF Colonel, you can help fulfill our mission to Educate, Inspire, and Honor through the preservation and operation of our amazing aircraft. You don’t have to be a pilot or a mechanic. Everyone has something to offer, including you! Want to be part of this great mission? Join the CAF and help us keep ’em flying!
The Commemorative Air Force was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. Since 1987 the CAF Airbase Georgia has displayed its collection of vintage World War II era aircraft at numerous airshows throughout the Southeast.
We are open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9am – 4pm.
