The Commemorative Air Force has the largest collection of flying warbirds, but our members are our greatest asset. As a CAF Colonel, you can help fulfill our mission to Educate, Inspire, and Honor through the preservation and operation of our amazing aircraft. You don't have to be a pilot or a mechanic. Everyone has something to offer, including you! Want to be part of this great mission? Join the CAF and help us keep 'em flying!

Celebrate the 1940s and salute the Greatest Generation October 8, 2022 at Georgia’s oldest and largest World War II-themed event. This year's event will highlight how the remarkable technological advances during the war led directly to "the Space Age" and the modern conveniences we enjoy today.
The rare World War II P-47N long-term restoration will join the Stearman project and fleet of operating aircraft, including its SBD Dauntless, P-51 Mustang, FG-1D Corsair, and P-63 Kingcobra.
The Commemorative Air Force was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. Since 1987 the CAF Airbase Georgia has displayed its collection of vintage World War II era aircraft at numerous airshows throughout the Southeast.
Airbase Georgia is also part of the Georgia World War II Heritage Trail, which highlights museums and historical sites across the state to honor the role that Georgia played in support of the war effort.
