WWII Heritage Days Postponed to Sept. 12-13

PEACHTREE CITY, GA. (March 13, 2020) – World War II Heritage Days, scheduled for May 2-3 at the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia Warbird Museum in Peachtree City, is being postponed until Sept. 12-13, 2020. Concern about COVID-19 is affecting all aspects of the economy, including public events, and the CAF Airbase Georgia leadership has elected to postpone this annual event to avoid possible health risks.

“It goes without saying that the CAF Airbase Georgia is looking forward to celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the WWII Victory, but our priority is to do our part in keeping everyone healthy and safe, particularly our World War II veterans who have been invited as guests of honor, as well as our volunteers and our many members of the community in the affected groups,” said WWII Heritage Days Chair Chris Madrid.

Victory Dance Note

The CAF Airbase Georgia Victory Dance celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II has been rescheduled for Sept 12, 2020.  If you have purchased a ticket, your ticket will be good on that date and we hope you will join us in a 1940s style salute to the Greatest Generation.   For those interested in a refund, you will receive an email in the next week with information for requesting a refund.

Updated plans for WWII Heritage Days will be made available in the next few weeks.
