Book a Father’s Day to Remember – a Ride in a WWII Airplane

PEACHTREE CITY, GA (May 28, 2021) – Having trouble finding the right gift for the fathers in your life? The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia may have the answer with its re-opened WWII aircraft public rides program – a gift that will never be forgotten.

A phone call to the Airbase (678-364-1110) will provide all the information you need to book a flight for the special people in your life, and guests are invited to watch the departure and return at the Airbase Georgia hangar, 1200 Echo Ct., Peachtree City, Ga. The Airbase is at Atlanta Regional Airport – Falcon Field. Flights are available on the iconic P-51 Mustang, an SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber, and trainer aircraft including the Fairchild P-19 and North American T-6. A later model trainer, the T-34, is fully restored and offers a great view with its bubble canopy. Flights must be scheduled and are dependent upon weather and aircraft availability. Prices begin at $150. Flight information also is available at rides@airbasegeorgia.org.

“We love to see the smiles on the faces of our riders when they return after a unique experience in our aircraft,” said Rides Coordinator Stephen Hoofnagle. “Young or old, our passengers always enjoy feeling a bit of history as they buckle into one of our vintage aircraft. This is a great gift for the dad who has everything, or the dad you want to honor with a memorable experience.”
